About the Violin
The violin, a prominent member of the string instrument family, is characterized by its brilliant and versatile sound. The violin can produce a wide range of expressive tones, from sweet and lyrical to vibrant and intense. Its agility allows for intricate melodic passages, and it plays a pivotal role in orchestras and chamber music ensembles.
Most students start the violin between ages 5 and 7. Some children with a good attention span can start at 4 years old. It is, of course, possible to start the violin at any age after that.
All of our teachers hold university degrees specifically in their instrument. We selected them for their passion for music and care for teaching. They are always encouraging and positive, catering to each student’s interests, desires, and goals. We teach with an “American Approach” to music education with your hands on the instrument from the first day (read our blogpost about the American Approach).
