Pablo PIANO

Pablo is a Costa Rican pianist, composer, and piano teacher in Paris. At the age of ten, he became the first Central American admitted to the Juilliard School’s piano pre-college division, after winning a national competition in Costa Rica and performing with the National Symphony Orchestra.

He has since performed on major international stages, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, the Grand Rex in Paris, and the Teatro Nacional in Costa Rica. His work has also brought him into the worlds of art and design, with performances during Paris Design Week and at the Edit Napoli Design Festival in collaboration with Steinway & Sons. In 2026, Pablo was named a Steinway Artist.

After completing his studies at Juilliard under the mentorship of Julian Martin, Pablo attended Berklee College of Music in Boston before studying composition at the Mannes School of Music in New York with Missy Mazzoli. As a composer and recording artist, he released the contemporary classical EP Logo in 2024, followed by the solo piano collection Being of a Flower in 2025.

Pablo has more than eight years of teaching experience, working with students in Paris and New York and bringing music education to underserved communities in his native Costa Rica. His teaching combines strong technical foundations with creativity, musical expression, and independent thinking. He has also shared his approach to music and pedagogy internationally as a TEDx speaker in San José, Costa Rica.

Pablo has collaborated with The American Conservatory of Paris since 2026.
