Serena FLUTE
Serena is a classically trained flutist and dedicated teacher based in Paris. She has taught students of all ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners discovering music for the first time to advanced players preparing for auditions and youth orchestra programs.
Serena studied at the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division with Bart Feller before earning her Bachelor of Music at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music & Dance, where she studied with Mimi Stillman. She then continued her studies in Paris at the École Normale de Musique de Paris with Mihi Kim.
As a performer, Serena has appeared as both a soloist and ensemble musician in major venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kimmel Center. Her recent performances in Paris include chamber concerts with Groupmuse, Trio Accent at Galerie First Floor, a flute quartet concert at the Mairie du 17ème, and a lunchtime concert at Salle Cortot.
Serena has received several awards, including the Boyer College Alumni Award, 2nd Prize at the Young Opus International Music Competition, the Jeunesse Musicale Internationale enCORE Accelerando Award, and a finalist at the Osaka International Music Competition.
Alongside her performing career, Serena has developed a strong teaching practice through her private flute studio and by working with Play on Philly, Kingdom Fluteworks, and Académie Musique à Carsix. She is passionate about creating a personalized learning experience for each student, adapting lessons to their interests, goals, and musical background.
Serena has collaborated with the American Conservatory of Paris since 2024.
