Music Ensemble – Mondays

Performing in an ensemble activates and enhances students’ innate love of music-making. Students learn to listen and observe others around them by playing with their peers, strengthening their aural awareness, intonation, and balance.

To participate in the Music Ensemble, your child must fit the following requirements:

    • Play a string, woodwind, or brass instrument.
    • Have a private teacher. (If you do not have one, we offer private lessons at your home.)

At the end of each semester, the Music Ensemble will perform their current work!

Beginner Strings Group Class – Wednesdays

In these classes, students learn how to start playing a string instrument of their choice, violin, or viola, cello. T,ogether they will learn how to play their new instrument through bowing games, beginning repertoire, ear training, the basics of music theory, and how to practice at home. They will learn all this amongst their peers in a fun and supportive environment.

Your child must rent an instrument after the first week of the Beginner Strings Group Class. The first class is used to present all the strings and help the children choose what they want to play. There are luthiers in Paris that offer rentals for 17-20€ per month. Renting is the best way to start because as your child grows, they must change instruments until they reach full size. The luthiers also insure the instruments and are there for any necessary repairs. All parents will receive an email explaining exactly how and what to rent. Not to worry, it is not complicated to do. Don’t hesitate to contact us directly and ask us your questions: admissions@americanconservatoryofpariscom.

Rock Band – Fridays

Taking private lessons is one thing, but learning to be part of a band…is another. For your child who sings everywhere they go, drums the dinner table with their utensils, or walks around playing air guitar, this class is for them. The group will rotate learning drums, guitar, and vocals. They will participate in choosing the music and learn new tunes as well. This class isan excellentt introduction to ensemble playingthe  and path to playing music.
